Chennai Port Trust has appointed Feedback Ventures to provide financial advisory services to assist in the initial process of development of the proposed Mega Container Terminal through public private participation. As the capacity of terminal is fast reaching a saturation point, the port has finalized setting up a 2 km long Mega Container Terminal to cater to the anticipated traffic demand.

The scope of the assignment comprises suggesting the most feasible way of Development of the Mega Terminal by public private participation i.e. SPV/ JVs, BOT, BOOT, etc; suggesting the appropriate method of financing the Project to minimize the cost; studying the traffic aspect to find out the financial feasibility and studying the entire commercial aspects, sources of finance, commercial viability and recommend a suitable model, which will give maximum return to the Port.
