Large-scale infrastructure or industrial developments, at the National level or at the State level, always have been seen to incur social costs. Moreover, in the wake of Greenfield projects being taken up by the private sector, very recently the SEZ projects in different parts of the country with the ensuing policy of globalization, rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) issues are certainly to emerge from such initiatives.
We at CBD, Feedback Ventures work adopting a participatory approach towards developing R&R plans to achieve a win-win situation for concerned stakeholders in the process of development.
Feedback’s Capacity Building Division is working towards achieving the objective of benefiting every member of the community, either directly or indirectly affected by the SEZs entry through the following services:
Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R & R): Feedback’s Capacity Building Division designs and implements resettlement and rehabilitation plans for SEZ project affected persons.
Socio-Economic Impact Assessments: Designing and conducting socio-economic assessments and impact studies for action research in the sector.
Human Resource Solutions: Formally approved SEZs would create an additional 4 million jobs by the year 2009. Feedback provides recruitment services for the sector.
